Police searching for driver after cyclist hit Monday afternoon

THUNDER BAY -- Police are looking for the driver of a blue four-door sedan after a cyclist was struck Monday afternoon. The cyclist was travelling west on Oliver Road hit by a car around 1 p.m. Monday near near the Balmoral Street intersection.

THUNDER BAY -- Police are looking for the driver of a blue four-door sedan after a cyclist was struck Monday afternoon.

The cyclist was travelling west on Oliver Road hit by a car around 1 p.m. Monday near near the  Balmoral Street intersection.

The cyclist was taken to Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre with non-life threatening injuries but has since been released.

At this point, investigators do not have much information about the vehicle. The cyclist told officers the car was in the process of turning left from Balmoral Street onto Oliver Road.

The driver and any witnesses are asked to contact the Thunder Bay Police Service Traffic Unit.
