THUNDER BAY – Ontario’s Ministry of Natural Resources has upgraded the forest fire hazard level for this region.
Officials with the MNR say this region is now listed as high to extreme for forest fire conditions.
This elevated status comes following five new confirmed fires in the Northwest Region.
Most of the new fires are located in the Dryden and Kenora area.
