OPP grab two pounds of pot, arrest woman following traffic stop

OPP News Release (KENORA, ON) On Tuesday May 5, 2015 around 2:00 pm, members of the Kenora Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on Highway 17 near Sherwood Road.

(KENORA, ON)   On Tuesday May 5, 2015 around 2:00 pm, members of the Kenora Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on Highway 17 near Sherwood Road.

The investigation led to the arrest of the female driver and a search of the vehicle located approximately 2 pounds of Marijuana. 

The street value of the drugs is estimated at approximately $5,000.

As a result of the investigation, 46 year old Bonnie LEUTSCHAFT of Machin, Ontario has been charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking-Cannabis under 3 kilograms contrary to section 5(2) of the Controlled Drug and Substances Act (CDSA) and Trafficking a Controlled Substance-Cannabis contrary to section 5(1) CDSA. 

She is to attend Kenora Court on July 9, 2015.
