Gas on the rise on city's north side

Gas appears to be on the rise on the north side of town. While most south-side motorists can still fill up at $1.129, the majority of north side stations on Friday jacked up their prices to $1.169.

While most south-side motorists can still fill up at $1.129, the majority of north side stations on Friday jacked up their prices to $1.169.

The lowest price in town is the Petro Canada station on Hewitson Street, which was last reported to be charging $1.069 for regular unleaded fuel.

According to gas-price watchdog website GasBuddy.Com, two stations on Fort William First Nation, the K&A Varity and Gas Bar and Rita’s Café and Gas Bar continue to sell for under $1 a litre, at $0.999.
