THUNDER BAY -- City council is looking for the public's help to decide what the city will look like in 2018.
A draft corporate strategic plan was presented to city council Monday night. The plan is used as a guiding document for council's term and sets its priorities.
City manager Tim Commisso pointed out that last term of council doubled its infrastructure spending in four years as a result of priorities in the strategic plan.
"Does council want to continue? That’s a strategic discussion," he said.
Focusing on lifestyle, environment, economy and governance, the plan has more than 20 goals including appropriate housing for all, leading climate change adaption, becoming a premier visitor destination and improving infrastructure.
It also provides a brief overview of the nearly 50 master plans and strategies the city currently has.
Available online, the public can now provide input until June 4.
