Thunder Bay pair arrested, accused of trafficking cocaine

(THUNDER BAY, ON) – On Wednesday, June 24 2015, members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau conducted a controlled drugs and substance act investigation in the City of Thunder Bay.

As a result of that investigation, Nelson JOAQUIM (47 years) of Thunder Bay along with Jan MONTEITH (61 years) of Thunder Bay have been charged with Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking contrary to Section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substance Act.

Both accused’s were released on a recognizance after appearing in court on June 25, 2015.

Investigators seized a total of 1158 grams of cocaine with a street value of approximately $115,800.
