THUNDER BAY – Police are seeking a pair of male suspects accused of stealing a bike from two 12-year-old boys.

The two boys were walking in the area of Brown Street and Brock Street on Sunday around 4:30 p.m. when they were approached by one man, who said he wanted to check out a bike one of the boys had.

The man then told the boys he was going to take the bike. One of the boys tried to wrestle it back when the second suspect came out of a nearby laneway and threatened them with a knife.

The suspects then fled with the bike in the direction of St. Martin’s School.

The bike is a custom BMX style with black frame, blue BMX grips on the handle bars, blue rims and a distinctive yellow chain.

The two men are described as Caucasian, about 18 years old with thin builds. One was wearing jeans and the second was wearing jeans, a dark blue shirt and had a backpack.

Anyone with information is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.
