Arthur Street drug raid nets city police 700 grams of Cocaine

Members of the Thunder Bay Police Service's Drug Unit along with the Guns and Gang Unit arrested a Thunder Bay man at his residence for drug related charges.

Just after 6:00 p.m. on August 26, 2015, officers executed a search warrant on a residence located in the 400 block of West Arthur Street.

When officers entered the 67 year old male in the residence was arrested after officers seized over 700 grams of Cocaine with a street value of over $70,000. Officers also seized $2,475 in Canadian currency.

Barry Keith Matthews has been charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking and Proceeds of Crime under $5,000. He appeared in court and has been remanded for a court appearance on August 28, 2015.
