THUNDER BAY -- No one keeps score in backyard games. Horeshoes and murderball have always been played for fun -- until now.

Now, Thunder Bay is known as backyard game champions. .

The local team brought home the national title in the first-ever Coors Light Games.

Competing in the above tournaments plus oversized beer pong using volleyballs, bubble soccer, and giant Jenga, Thunder Bay proved it could conquer all in games that have never before been considered competitive.

"It was tons of people, good atmosphere, good vibe and everybody was ready to compete," said team member, Garrett Kelly.

Going into the finals, TSN broadcasters asked Thunder Bay's Adam Restoule if he was nervous.

"No nerves, nerves of steel, here," he responded, pinching his thumb and index finger for added intensity.

"We're from Thunder Bay -- best hockey players in the world, best Coors Light athletes, best looking women."

When the bubble soccer final went to the "Blue Team" as they were known, powered paint blasted into the air and crowds broke through the picket fence on the sidelines.

"It felt like it was actually a pretty big deal," Restoule said.

"It was just a fun event but they talked it up pretty well and made it seem like it was a very special event."
