Fort Hope man arrested following convenience store robbery

Thunder Bay Police have arrested a Fort Hope male for a robbery that occurred last evening at a Mac's Convenience Store location on North May Street.

Officers attended the business just before 9:00 p.m. to take a report from the 27 year old male employee who was punched by a male attempting to take items from the store without paying for them. After officers observed the video they identified the male responsible and located him walking on the 500 block of East Victoria Ave.

Kristian Achneepineskum, 20 year old, has been charged with Robbery and Breach of Probation x2. He appeared in court today and has been remanded to the district jail for another court appearance on September 2, 2015.
