OPP investigating sudden death near Kenora

Ontario Provincial Police are investigating a sudden death after stopping a suspicious vehicle leaving Wauzhushk Onigum First Nation. Police say they received a call at about 11:30 p.m.

Ontario Provincial Police are investigating a sudden death after stopping a suspicious vehicle leaving Wauzhushk Onigum First Nation.

Police say they received a call at about 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday night and spotted the venicle in question on the north side of Kenora.

The vehicle then proceeded to Highway 17 A, when police activated a suspect apprehension pursuit.

The vehicle came to a rest at the junction of Highway 17A and Highway 596.

A deceased male was found on the highway.

The identity of the victim is unknown at this time.

The male youth operating the vehicle was arrested at the scene and taken into custody.

Charges have not yet been laid in the case and the investigation continues.
