THUNDER BAY -- The city of Thunder Bay could be on its way to giving its veterans a free pass, at least when it comes to parking.
Coun. Joe Virdiramo tabled a motion this week that would ask city administration to look at providing free parking for Canadian military veterans.
Virdiramo said it's the least the city can do for its vets, and points to other municipalities in Ontario, which have already passed similar legislation.
City administration has been asked to prepare a report on the feasibility of providing free parking for veterans.
