Simpson street closure coming on Wednesday

Motorists will face traffic disruptions starting next week on Simpson Street.

Motorists will face traffic disruptions starting next week on Simpson Street.

City officials on Friday said the road, between the May and Arthur streets intersection and Victoria Avenue will be closed to through traffic in order to allow crews to install new storm sewers.

The closure is scheduled to begin on Sept. 9 and is expected to take three weeks to complete.

The schedule is subject to change.

Motorists are being advised to avoid the area if possible and use extra caution if traveling in the area
