THUNDER BAY -- A woman and her dog safely escaped a Younge Court basement fire on Monday night.
Thunder Bay Fire Rescue was able to extinguish the fire around midnight before it spread from the basement.
A release said the structure sustained moderate fire damage and extensive smoke damage.
The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
