THUNDER BAY – It was a busy long weekend for travel at the city’s airport.
Thunder Bay International Airport CEO Ed Schmidtke says an estimated 7,500 passengers went through the local airport throughout the Thanksgiving long weekend.
“For a little perspective, that’s about 1 per cent of our total traffic for the year,” Schmidtke said during an interview with CKPR Radio Tuesday.
Most of the traffic appeared to be from students travelling to and from southern Ontario.
