Youth Orchestra has date for Valentine’s Day

THUNDER BAY – The Thunder Bay Symphony Youth Orchestra won’t be spending Valentine's Day alone.

For the Love of Music is a musical collaboration between the Thunder Bay Symphony Youth Orchestra, the Winnipeg Youth Orchestra, the Thunder Bay Symphony Orchestra and Chorus.

Under the direction of the TBSO conductor-in-residence, Jean-Michel Malout, this Valentine's concert will feature a classical performance including a 110 piece orchestra as well as the choir.

"We have decided to put on one of the biggest classical music concerts that's ever happened in Thunder Bay," said Thomas Cosbey, Musical Director of the Youth Orchestra.

"The outpouring of support from the community has been unbelievable way more than any of us expected."

Featuring some classic romantic favourites such as, Ravel's Boléro, Tchaikovsky, and Danzon No. 2.

For the Love of Music takes place at Thunder Bay Community Auditorium on Feb. 14th at 2 p.m.
