Ear Falls man charged with impaired driving, failure to comply

(ATIKOKAN, ON) – Shortly after 2:00 am on February 6, 2016 members of the Rainy River District Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) observed a vehicle driving in a suspicious manner in the area of Banning Lake Road near Sunshine Road.

Officers conducted a traffic stop with the vehicle in question and engaged in an investigation.

As a result of this investigation, a 33-year-old Ear Falls man has been charged criminally with:

• One count of having over 80 milligrams of alcohol in 100 milliliters of blood;
• One count of impaired operation of a motor vehicle;
• One count of fail to Comply with Conditions of Undertaking Given by officer in charge.

The accused will appear in Atikokan Provincial Court on Wednesday April 16, 2016 at 11:00 am to answer to these charges.
