Thunder Bay an average place to fill up a tank

Thunder Bay is average. According to online gas price watchdog gasbuddy.com , the average price of regular fuel across Ontario is now sitting at 85.8-cents-per-litre. The national average is just lower than that at just above 84-cents-a-litre.

According to online gas price watchdog gasbuddy.com, the average price of regular fuel across Ontario is now sitting at 85.8-cents-per-litre. The national average is just lower than that at just above 84-cents-a-litre.

While it doesn’t happen often, fuel is being offered by at least one gas bar at the Ontario average. Central Car Wash on Central Avenue, as of Wednesday afternoon was reportedly selling fuel at 85.8-cents-per-litre.

That’s the lowest reported price in the city right now, but it isn’t that far off from other gas bars.

Several other stations in the city have prices just above 85.8-cents, and the vast majority are selling fuel between 88- and 89-cents-per litre.

At neightbouring Fort William First Nation gas is being sold as low as 72-cents a litre at K&A Variety and Gas Bar.
