One public school student was sent to the hospital following a school bus crash in Gillies Monday morning.
The single-vehicle crash took place on Highway 595 near Parker Road.
The school bus had 17 students on board when it left the road and struck a hydro pole.
OPP Const. Garrett Beitz told CKPR Radio that officers are still investigating and charges against the driver are still pending.
The other uninjured school bus passengers were unloaded by bystanders before being picked up by parents.
The crash resulted in a power outage that led to the closure of Whitefish Public School.
Public board officials confirmed Monday morning that buses returned to the school to bring students back home.
