Catholic board, clerical workers reach tentative agreement

THUNDER BAY – A tentative deal has been reached between the Thunder Bay Catholic District School Board and it’s office and clerical employees. Details of the agreement have not been made public pending ratification of the contract.

Details of the agreement have not been made public pending ratification of the contract.

“We’re pleased with the settlement and plan to bring it to the board for their approval,” said director of education Pino Tassone in a release issued on Friday morning.

COPE Local 454 president Diana Baker also gave a stamp of approval.

“We’re very pleased with the tentative agreement and we will be recommending its acceptance to our members.

About 60 employees are covered under the deal, which if accepted will expire on Aug. 31, 2017.
