I guess you missed the angioplasty he brought. how about the money for bombardier. how about PSA testing now covered cause he kept pushing for it. new courthouse in the south. keeping the coal plants open so people are still working here and in atikokan. He with gravelle have done tons. I have seen him quoted countless times and at a ton of events around town. Maybe leave your house so you can see him too. he has been all over. you sure do sound like that party that keeps comnplaining but never delivers. that would be the one our two guys occupy federally. how do you think that money keeps coming here, unless he is the one getting it for us. I will make it easier to understand. Mauro/gravelle in Toronto, lots of money for us. Hyer/Rafferty in ottawa, very little money for us. ottawa gave us nothing for the last bombardier deal. the premier said to all the workers there that mauro worked his butt off to get that deal. as someone feeding my family from street cars I know this guy busted his chops for us. i guess for people like you, it is never enough. I'll take 1 of him before a hundred of the clowns we have in Ottawa. promise everything, deliver nothing.

Just in case you do not understand that government moneys are not true Economic growth, which is driven by individuals and entrepreneurs operating in free markets, not by government spending.

A strong private sector provides the country with strong economic growth and benefits for all.

These kinds of funds looks good but really do not do much in long run. PARO uses funds to "stimulate" entrepreneurship for women. Meager loans of around 8,000.00 assist women to set themselves up in poorly funded cottage industries where they work 16 hour days to make less than minimum wage, have no benefits, pensions, or vacation time. Perhaps instead of dooming their 200 or 300 hundred clients to a lifetime of poverty and overwork, the money could be better used to provide education and training in mining technology, construction, and other non traditional occupations which might have a future. (But please - no more social workers, foresty techs, or history, psychology, english, or other unemployable majors).

Rick, I don't know you, but do you really think that your second comments were necessary. Everyone knows that without a strong private sector, things can't be supported, but, it is not any single MPP's job to create private sector jobs. They can support them, assist them, and help create a good environment, but those jobs need private money. I am not speaking for D669, but I think he was saying that Mauro/Gravelle have brought lots here. I tend to agree. Every city is hurting, but these guys have done what needed to be done. Bring money, investment and jobs here. If they weren't here, they would be somewhere else. And everyone would be complaining that they weren't doing their job. I think he disagreed with your assessment of Mauro. I agree with him. Why you think this guy has done nothing is your business, but I have read, listened, and watched. I think you need to pay attention a little more. and his list of new initiatives in T.bay, seems pretty accurate to me. I know three people who have had their angioplasty operations here. Having them done here is way better than when I had to travel out of town for mine. I heard the medical staff praise Mauro for getting it for us. Doesn't sound like he has been sitting on the sidelines. I don't agree with everything his government has done, but then who would. But I think he has done a great job.
