The City of Thunder Bay’s parking authority announced Monday that effective immediately, calendar parking regulations are waived.

In consultation with the general manager of the Transportation and Works Department, the parking authority may waive the enforcement of calendar parking at any time after March 1.

Restrictions can apply until the end of March if forecasted weather conditions or road conditions warrant.

Based on the short-range weather forecast and current road conditions, the decision was made to waive calendar-parking restrictions as of Monday.

If I didn't snowblow the street beside my house, there would still be snow there! Calendar parking only works when they actually plow! First rate taxes for LAST rate services!

Well, I certainly applaud them for the display of reason and logic. Its about parking management first and foremost...it should not be about revenue like it so often is.

Ask the many people I witnessed getting a $35.00 ticket if they cared tsb......(on my block alone)
An expensive mistake for most working class people when the amount of actual snow was negligible for the majority of the time.
