Child predator suspect arrested

By tbnewswatch.com
A man from the state of Georgia who allegedly tried to buy a five-year old child online has been arrested in Thunder Bay.

The man, who moved to the U.S. from France, had been on the run from American authorities for almost two weeks, but was captured in the city Friday night.

Patrick Molesti, 56, of Woodstock, Ga., was apprehended at the Greyhound bus station. U.S. media report that the man crossed into Canada on a bus travelling from Wyoming to Calgary. Once in Calgary, he boarded another bus en route to Montreal, where it is believed Molesti was planning on catching a flight to France.

Molesti is charged with sexually exploiting children after U.S. investigators found child pornography on his computer, along with evidence that he was trying to purchase a five-year old boy online.

Thunder Bay Police spokesman Chris Adams says they were contacted by Canada Border Services to locate the runaway.

Molesti did not resist arrest, and he remains in custody in Thunder Bay while he awaits a potential extradition back to the States. Click here to submit a letter to the editor.

Kindly give it a rest. I used an expression, and I choose to use an alternative spelling, such as is common these days, for my own heathen atheistic reasons. If this is the first time you've seen it spelling in that manner, I suggest you delve outside of this forum and discover the world a little.

But apparently, to the defensive oversensitive in the crowd, using an expression, regardless of spelling, means I'm not crediting the police when due.

No, I'm not known to be overly sensitive Jaded, and Im certainly not religious by any means.

Honestly I just thought I'd yank on your chain a little. It's too bad that I am quite familiar with the spelling you used, I'm just not a fan of the english language being butchered all the time by the "Jackass" generation.

I expected more from you for some reason.I guess I was just disappointed.

nope..thank Canada Border Services Agency.. The cops merely took him into custody at the request of CBSA. CBSA had all the intel and basically told police where to go and who to get.

FYI...this is why the police were at the Greyhound station with the dog...the dog that sniffed out the bag of pot worth $120000 (not a random search as some think)

Thank goodness this slimball was caught. One less perve on the street is always a good thing!

Stubby...shouldnt we be thanking the border services agency if they had actually stopped him and performed their duties at the border??

Waiting for a 1400 mile (? guess) cross country, sightseeing journey on the bus to catch him in Thunder Bay seems a wee bit sluggish if you ask me. Dont you think?

All sorts of horrible things could have happened on that bus....lest we forget the Manitoba Greyhound beheading incident already?
