A Thunder Bay roofing supervisor has received a hefty fine after one of his workers fell off a roof last July and sustained serious injuries.

The case was dealt with late last week in Provincial Offences Court.

A Ministry of Labour investigation determined the worker had not been wearing fall protection while shingling a home.

The supervisor was found guilty of failing to ensure his workers wore fall protection, and has been fined $10,000.
