Province must learn from mistakes: Ombudsman
By tbnewswatch staff
The province’s ombudsman says the lack of accountability at government agencies underscores a systemic failure.
Andre Marin said Ontario’s recent problems show that arms-length agencies can become troublesome for their creators.
He added that the government must learn from previous mistakes at agencies like the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corp., and eHealth Ontario.
Marin also said that the issues cannot be ignored, saying that the failures of OLG should become manditory reading for all government agencies.
Marin made the comments while speakign to the Economic Club of Canada Thursday.
