Fernand (Fern) Simard, age 73, passed away peacefully on April 23, 2024, with family by his side.
Fern is survived by his wife Mary Ann Simard, daughter Danielle (Arif) Rajwani, and sisters Lola Lapierre, Caroline (Brian) Smitten, Marie-Claire (John) Stewart, and many nieces and nephews.
Fern is predeceased by his parents, Alice (Genest) and Albert Simard, sister Claire Villeneuve (Simard), brothers John Simard, Jack Simard, and Michel Simard, and nephew Jamy Roussy.
A funeral service for family and friends will be on May 7th at 11:00am at St. Patrick’s Church in Kapuskasing, ON.
The family would like to extend their thanks to the staff at the Thunder Bay Regional Hospital Emergency Department, Floor 2A, and St. Joseph’s Hospital.
