Our dear Cathy passed away unexpectedly on Oct. 27, in the Thunder Bay Rregional  Health Sciences Centre with her family by her side.

Cathy was born in Port Arthur on Aug. 8, 1955 to Theresa and John Suzick. Apart from her time working in Toronto, Cathy had resided the rest of her life in Thunder Bay. The majority of her working life was spent working with the Ministry of Community and Social Services in both Toronto and Thunder Bay where she developed many wonderful friendships that she valued greatly.

Cathy had a strong faith and lived by her Christian values. A caring and compassionate woman, Cathy possessed a wonderful sense of humor and had an energy about her that made everyone around her feel at ease. She loved the outdoors and all of its splendor.

She also enjoyed everything about aviation. Her family and friends were most important to her and had a high priority.  She enjoyed spending time with them as well as her trips to Hinckley with her mother, sister and aunt.

She will be dearly missed by her mother Theresa Suzick, sister Carol Suzick, brother John Suzick, brother-in-law Phil Cameron (Kristine) as well as by aunts, cousins and other relatives.  She was predeceased by her father John Sr., sister Beverly Cameron, grandparents Stella and Peter Suzick and Rose and Joseph Kucbel as well as aunts, uncles and cousins.   Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2010 when family and friends will gather in Corpus Christi R.C. Church for the Funeral Mass beginning at 11 a.m. celebrated by Rev. Richard Kowalchuk.  The interment will follow in St. Andrew’s Cemetery.

Visitation for friends will be held on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Sargent & Son Funeral Chapel, 21 N. Court Street, where the Vigil Service will begin at 7 p.m.

As expressions of sympathy, memorials to the St. Joseph’s Foundation or the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
