Mrs. Edith Lorraine "Edie" Tront, age 75 years, passed away unexpectedly at her residence on Saturday, Feb. 5, 2011.

Edie was born in Port Arthur on April 10 to Roy and Ina Nuttall and was a lifetime resident.  She worked as a payroll clerk for many years at Saskatchewan Wheat Pool, Lakehead University and lastly at Northern Wood Preservers, retiring in 1994.

Edie was a generous and outgoing woman who enjoyed working in her flower garden and feeding the local squirrels and bluejays. She always looked forward to spending time with family and friends, sharing a laugh, a good conversation, entertaining, and travelling to the Caribbean, especially the Barbados.

A special place in her life was "The Camp" on Lake Superior where many good times and lots of laughter was shared with family and friends alike. Her greatest love was for her family, especially her grandson Roy and she cherished the time spent with them.  From the day he was born Roy was the light of her life.

Her devotion as a grandmother kept her busy and her visits were never far apart.  She will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by her husband Maurice, son Patrick (Lucy), grandson Roy, sister Beverly McGonigal, brothers Garfield Nuttall and Albert Nuttall as well as by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.  She was predeceased by her parents.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2011 when family and friends will gather in Corpus Christi R.C. Church for the Funeral Mass beginning at 10:30 a.m. celebrated by Rev. Terry Sawchuk.

Services will be complete in the church with interment at a later date.

As expressions of sympathy memorials to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.  Arrangements in care of the Sargent & Son Funeral Directors, 21 N. Court Street.
