SYMONS- Ms. Joy "Terppy" Symons (nee Pelletier), age 64 years, a resident of Dawson Court Home For the Aged, passed away at her residence on Sunday, August 21, 2011 after a lengthy illness.

Joy was born in Fort William on June 24, 1947 to Moses and Rose Pelletier.

Joy lived in Edmonton for many years, working at various Canadian Tire Stores. After the death of her father Joy returned to Thunder Bay where she worked at Dominion Motors until health issues forced her to retire. She was a member of the Mended Hearts and Fort William First Nation.

Joy loved living life to the fullest, especially out at the Wild Rose Trailer Court. She is survived by her sister Gail Pelletier, brother Gary (Eileen) Pelletier, nieces and nephews Greg, Teddy, Tommy, Marvin and Peggy Pelletier as well as by numerous other relatives.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Aug. 25, 2011 when family and friends will gather in Corpus Christi R.C. Church for the Funeral Mass beginning at 10 a.m. celebrated by Rev. Richard Kowalchuk.

As expressions of sympathy memorials to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences  Foundation-Northern Cancer Fund or the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
