Mr. Larry Arthur Loverin, age 72 years, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Thursday, Sept. 15, 2011.

Larry was born in Kincaid, Sask., to Fred and Ann Loverin.  His job as a C.G.A. and C.M.A. took him all over Canada before his coming to Thunder Bay to work at Lakehead University, Revenue Canada and finally at Confederation College where he taught Accounting for 25 years before his retirement.

Larry was a jazz enthusiast and as a young man played saxophone in a band in Atikokan.  He enjoyed fishing, especially at the family camp at Windigoostigwan Lake, built by his father, and later at  his own camp on 2 Mile Island.

These were two places that he loved to spend time at and where he built many fond memories with family and friends.  Larry's greatest love was for his family and it was during time spent with his children and grandchildren that he was happiest.

He will be lovingly remembered by his children Carla (Frank) Fabiano, Myra (Alex) Golab and Craig (Katelyn) Loverin, and grandchildren: Nicholas, Julia, Kaia and Zachary.  He was predeceased by his first wife Monica, second wife Remy and his parents.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, Sept. 23, 2011 at 11 a.m. in the Sargent & Son Funeral Chapel, 21 N. Court Street, with Rev. Rey Ronquillo of St. Elizabeth's R.C. Church presiding.

Following a reception the interment will take place in Sunset Memorial Gardens.  As expressions of sympathy memorials to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Foundation – Northern Cancer Fund would be appreciated.

The family would like to thank the fantastic nursing team at Dawson Court-1 South for their exceptional care and the dignity and respect they showed towards Larry.
