LeCocq- Mrs. Mary Patricia "Pat" LeCocq, age 85 years, passed away peacefully with her family at her side in Dawson Court on Thursday, March 29, 2012. Pat was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on July 30, 1926 to William and Mary Main. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed travelling and boating with her husband Ian. A woman who loved spending time with family and friends, she was always planning and looking forward to the next party or gathering where her family and friends would be together. In younger days she was an avid curler and looked forward to getting together with her bridge club. She loved to promote Thunder Bay and worked with the Tourism Bureau for many years. Her efforts were acknowledged when she was named an Ambassador for the City of Thunder Bay. She will be dearly missed by her son William "Bill" (Lynn) LeCocq, daughter Maureen (Scott) McNeill, grandchildren: Keri (Paulo), Christopher (Courtney), Ryan (Kyla), Brodie (Kady) and Kaitlin; 4 great grandchildren, sister Sheila (George) Styan as well as by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was predeceased by her husband Ian and her parents. A memorial service will be held on Monday, April 2, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the Sargent & Son Funeral Chapel, 21 N. Court Street, with Rev. Bert Vancook of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church presiding. Following the services a reception will be held in the Sargent Family Reception Centre. As expressions of sympathy memorials to the Alzheimer Society of Thunder Bay would be appreciated.
