Carol Loretta Hari (nee Desnoyers) age 42 years, a resident of Thunder Bay passed away peacefully with her family by her side at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre on Tuesday, January 20, 2015.
Carol was a graduate of the Personal Support Worker program from the T.R. Leger School in Smith Falls, Ontario where she resided for a number of years before returning to Thunder Bay. During her career in nursing she showed commitment and compassion to the people she looked after. She touched many hearts and had the ability to make anyone feel comfortable in any situation. She was known for her great big bear hugs. Carol was convincing in attitude when she wanted things a certain way.
She will always be remembered for her generosity and warm smile. She always thought of others and put their needs above her own.
She loved to sing and many will remember karaoke with her. She also loved to dance and had passion when she moved. Many will also remember camping and fishing with Carol. She also loved gardening. Carol showed great patience for children and kindness for elders. We will all remember her for her crazy fun ways and amazing sense of humour.
Carol will be a hard person to forget and will be remembered as the warm, loving, kind, sensitive daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
She will be sadly missed by her friend Art Oster, her mother Carol Durack, her daughter Cassandra and grandson Mason, her brothers Shayne (Holly) Giddens and Richard (Kayla) Pelky, her sisters Tammy Desnoyers, Miranda Pelky, Amanda (Dale) Coates, Charlotte (Dave) Tozer, Michelle (Darren) Galloway, Jennifer (Ron) Hebert as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives survive.
Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. noon on Monday, January 26, 2015 in the Chapel of Harbourview Funeral Centre, 499 North Cumberland Street officiated by Rev. Lloyd Ivany. Visitation for family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Mental Health Association in Carol’s honour.
