It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Mary Thompson. She was our hero, our inspiration, our rock. She lived her life to the fullest and battled hard until the end.
She so loved throwing dice, playing cards and bingo with her family, and laughing.
She had a special place in her heart for the children in her life, especially her nieces and nephews. She is now reunited with her beloved husband Bill and son William. Also predeceased by parents Peter and Lucy Michano, father-in-law Robert Thompson, siblings Elizabeth, Sinclair, Emily, Andrew, Floyd, Georgina and Barry.
Mary is survived by children, Robert (Juliana), Jaudi, Luke, Julianna, grandson William and “Mom” Grace, siblings Charlotte, Dora (John), Shirley, George, Millie (Don), Marlene (Murdock), Dennis as well as numerous in-laws.
Mary’s casket will be arriving at St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Church in Pic River First Nation on Thursday, March 26, 2015 when visitors may call after 7:00 p.m. with prayers to follow at 8:00 p.m. Visitation will continue on Friday.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. with Mass celebrated by Rev. Milton McWatch. Cremation will follow with interment at a later date. A Feast will be held at the Pic River Community Hall following the services.
