Ruth was welcomed into the arms of her Saviour on Wednesday, March 25, 2015. She was born and raised in Hamilton, Ontario. Ruth met Bob Miller, her future husband while studying at London Bible Institute and they were married in 1955.
Ruth especially enjoyed participating in ladies' bible studies, scrapbooking, painting, knitting, and bird- watching. Close to her heart were Roman, Andriy, Oleh, Rostyslav, and Dmytro, whom she sponsored through Humanitarian Aid Response Teams (HART). She was thrilled to visit them in Ukraine in 2013.
She will be dearly missed by her children Don Miller, Christy (Mark) Arnold, Brenda (Wade) Forseth, and Kathy Jo (Paul) Semenick. Her pride and joy were her grandchildren: Tim (Alicia), Lisa (Brad), Laura, Julie, Josh, Jon (Lydia), Bud (Patricia), Terra, Benjamin (Victoria), Dianna, Olivia, and Brad. She will be deeply missed by her sister Lois (Dave) Tournay of Hamilton, sister in-law Sally Schulte of Southern Ontario, and numerous nieces, nephews, and great grandchildren.
Ruth was predeceased by her husband Bob, and her parents Walter and Elsie Tyrer.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, March 30, 2015 at 1:30 p.m. at Fort William Baptist Church, 1800 Moodie Street East, with Mark Arnold presiding. A private interment will take place in O'Connor Free Methodist Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday afternoon from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. In the Everest Funeral Chapel, 299 Waverley Street at Algoma.
