After a long and happy life, it is with great sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of Howard Vincent Bannon.

Howard passed away at home, on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 where he wanted, with his wife, kids and grandchildren near his side.

Howard was born in Fort William on January 29th, 1933 to Vincent Bannon and Phyllis Fasano. He attended St Martin’s School and worked at Nor West Grain Elevator, numerous business operations, Band Administrator and Chief of FWFN through his life.

He loved sports from fishing the numerous lakes to baseball and hockey where he coached many teams from the Reserve.

He enjoyed attending all sporting events the kids and grandkids played in. He loved the Toronto Maple Leafs and Blue Jays.

Predeceased by his mother and father, his sister, Grace, his baby boy Howard and baby girl Audrey at infancy.

Survived by his wife of 62 years Jessie, his children Gerald (Judy), Walter (Kelly), Barry, Janice, Rita, Wanda (Carl), June (Grant), William (Jennifer), Howard Meshake (Elsie). His grandchildren – Lindsay (John), Jesse (Amanda), Shawn (Julie), Michael (Kathryn), Jessica (Mike), Joshua (Ashley), Kyle, Charlie Lucille, Daryl Lynn, Wolf, Cory, Howard Jr and Sylvia. Great Grand Children – Noah, Jayden, Avery, Jawnilyn, Leland, Cecil, Abby, McKenzie, Maloree, Kael, Carmen, Jaxon, Skylar, Christoper, Austin, Hannah, Riley and numerous cousins, nieces nephews and god children. His sisters – Catherine Collins, Shirley Collins, Regina (Jim McConnell), Elinor (Andy Cech), Carol (Winston Cornell) and his brother Gordon (Melody).

Honorary Pall Bearers will be his grandsons – Jesse, Shawn, Michael, Joshua, Kyle, Wolf, Cory and Howard Jr.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May  1, 2015, when family and friends will gather for Memorial Mass at 11:00am, at St. Anne's Mission Church on Mission Road celebrated by Rev. Larry Kroker s.j..  Interment will take place at a later date in Sunset Memorial Gardens to be determined by family

Howard Bannon will be remembered in the Blake Funeral Chapel Memorial Grove.  Annual dedication service Sunday, June 12, 2016.
