Marjory Crowe, 87 year old resident of Thunder Bay, died peacefully at her home the morning of Saturday, May 23, 2015.

Marjory was born July 15, 1927 in Fort William Ontario, the fourth of five children of Ada Eliza and Ralph Weaving. She attended Isabella Street School, Fort William Vocational School and Confederation College.

Marjory married Robert (Bob) Wilson Crowe June 8, 1946. Together they raised four children and built a wonderful life. Marjory worked at the Canadian Grain Commission, Bell Telephone, McKenzie Shoes, Bob’s Confectionary, and Eaton’s and was a proud member of The Canadian Women's Army Corps.

As a young wife and mother she resided in Fort William, Winnipeg, Marathon, and Sioux Lookout returning to Fort William, now Thunder Bay, in 1963. Marjory loved to travel enjoying road trips through Canada, the United States, and Mexico, and vacations in the Caribbean, Central America, and Great Britain.

Creative and resourceful in home design and keenly interested in genealogy and heritage, she began our tradition of the Sunday family supper that continues to keep her family close.

Marjory also enjoyed knitting and reading, and acquired a remarkable collection of tea pots. She is survived by husband Bob, sons Robert and wife Sharon, Ralph (Greg) and partner Donna Portelance, and Richard; daughter Charlotte and husband Victor Ostap; grandchildren Lance, Erin (Kevin), Shawn (Sandra), Christopher (Breeze), Rebecca (Glenn), Ryan, Sol, Simeon and Silas (Audriana); great grandchildren Cassandra, Larissa, Amanda, Kaylee, Alec, Darius, Katelyn, Chloë, Jeremy, Isaac, Celeste, Wilder, Billie Mae and Danny; sister Pat Andrews; sisters in law Susan Little, Margaret Crowe, brother in law Pat Crowe (Margaret), and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Predeceased by parents Ada and Ralph Weaving, grandson Keith Jarvis, brothers Ray Weaving and Ken Weaving, sister Joan Dag, mother and father in law Margaret and Robert Crowe, brothers and sisters in law Don Andrews, Bill Crowe, Doreen Crowe, Eleanor Crowe, Jack Crowe, Margaret Crowe, Peggy Crowe, Ken Dag, Vernon Little, Peter Vignuda, Jean Weaving and Olga Weaving, cousin Florence Schreiber and, childhood friend Lorraine Reed.

Per Marjory’s wishes there will be no service.
