Mrs. Ana Grguric (nee Mudrovcic), age 81 years, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 23, 2015 in Bethammi Nursing Home.
Born on July 7, 1933 in Lika, Croatia, Ana came to Canada in 1961 with her husband Josip and made Thunder Bay their new home.
Ana was a dedicated homemaker and housewife. Her favourite past times included cooking and along with with her husband, cultivating their flower and vegetable gardens of which she was extremely proud.
Ana is survived by her brother Peter (Marija) Mudrovcic; sisters Katica (Josip) of Rijeka, Croatia and Ivka (Ivan) of Licki Osijk, Croatia, nieces Kathy (Duncan) MacDonald of Texas, USA and Suzie (Lee) Gagne of North Bay, Ontario and great nephews Dane MacDonald and Peter Gagne.
Ana was predeceased by her beloved husband, Josip Grguric; parents Martin and Mare Mudrovcic; brothers Ilija and Ante Mudrovcic and sister Dragica of Lika, Croatia.
Funeral services for the late Mrs. Ana Grguric will be held on Thursday, May 28, 2015 leaving the EVEREST FUNERAL CHAPEL, 299 Waverley St. at Algoma at 10:00 AM to the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Croatian Catholic Church, 479 Oliver Road for the Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM celebrated by Fr. Francisco Blazek.
Entombment to follow in Our Lady of Charity Mausoleum, St. Andrew's Cemetery. Visitation for friends will be on Wednesday evening after 6:30 PM in the Everest Chapel with the Vigil Prayers offered at 7:30 PM.
If friends so desire, donations may be made to Bethammi Nursing Home or a charity of your choice.
