Mrs. Marie-Laure “Annette” Pelletier, age 99 years, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 in St. Joseph's Hospice.

Annette was born October 15, 1915 in Ste. Anne des Monts, Quebec where she was raised and schooled. She moved to Montreal in her early 20's and worked in the clothing manufacturing sector.

When the Second World War broke out in 1939, she went to work in a munitions factory. While in Montreal she met and married her husband, Maurice. After the War, they returned to the Gaspe area where she purchased and operated her own restaurant.

In 1952 she moved to Ontario and upon arriving in Port Arthur with her four children in tow, she decided this was where she wanted to set down her roots and raise her family. Annette operated rooming houses and also offered boarding.

After some time, she purchased and ran a second restaurant, “Annette's Cafe”. In 1986, she sold her last rooming house and retired to enjoy her golden years.

To Annette, the most important goal in life was raising her children with all of her love and devotion. She made sure to instill in them a good work ethic, respect for others and to love and take the best care of their families, as she did her own.

Survived by her daughters, Fernande (Raymond) Langlois and Carole (Robert) Young; sons Fernie (Carolyn) and Rejean (Alison); 11 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

Annette was predeceased by her parents Napoleon and Florida St. Pierre; her husband, Maurice; her granddaughter Sarah; 4 brothers and 5 sisters.

Funeral services for the late Mrs. Annette Pelletier will be held at 10:00am on Friday, May 29, 2015 in the EVEREST FUNERAL CHAPEL, 299 Waverley Street at Algoma. Interment will follow in St. Andrew's Cemetery.

If friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Joseph's Care Group.
