Wilfred Winston Murley July 8, 1939

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband and father. Wilfred passed away with his family by his side, on Sunday, July 5, 2015 at St Joesph's Hospice after a short battle with Cancer.

He was predeceased by, and now joins, his mother, Dorothy; father, Cecil; brother, Grenville; and brother-in-laws, LaRue Petersen and Wilfred Anstey.

Left behind are his wife, KimBerly, his children Bradley, Ashley (Nathan Ehn), and Carley (Brett Nyman), as well as children from a previous marriage, Brenda, Glenn, and Brian (Vicki). He will be missed by his grandchildren Brayden, Brielle, Kolby, and Hailey, sisters Thelma, Bertha, Joan(Terry), brothers Clyde and David (Jennifer), as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Wilfred was born and raised in Petries Newfoundland and later moved to Toronto where he lived until he met his current wife, Kim.

He then moved to Thunder Bay, starting a new life and a new family. Wilfred drove transport truck most of his life, and when he moved to Thunder Bay he became a truck driving instructor at 10-4 Driving Academy, Wilfred taught thousands of students to operate transport trucks and continued to keep in touch with almost all of them. Wilfred was a very hard-working and caring man.

When not at work, Wilfred enjoyed camping and fishing. Wilfred and his one-time student Robert Garland became great friends and fishing buddies, as they were both from Newfoundland. If the two of them were in a room together, there was nothing but laughter.

Special thanks to the staff at St. Joe's, for their excellent care of Wilfred during his stay in hospice . Thanks to Dr Vergetis (oncologist) and Dr Webster, Wilfred's long time family doctor.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to Jessica (Flamingo) at the TBRHSC for taking such wonderful care of Wilfred when she was on shift, she made him feel human again with her abundance of kindness and caring. Wilfred's family would also like to thank Louise & Ron from Bayshore, Louise was Wilfred's nurse who came in our home daily and near the end Wilfred waited for Louise as he enjoyed her daily visits, Ron, Wilfred spoke highly of you as well.

A celebration of Wilfred's life will be held at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, on July 18 , at 11:00 a.m. Wilfred leaves behind many great memories that will live on through his family and friends.

A special note from your buddy Brayden " Grampa til we meet again, I love you, and I sure miss my hide and go seek partner"
Gone, but never forgotten.

Thank you for giving me three beautiful children, who in turn gave us three grandchildren.
