It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Harold (Davey) Davison on September 26, 2015 at Pioneer Ridge.  Formerly of Beardmore, Davey was born July 22, 1921 and raised in Toronto, Ontario.

In his early years Davey worked on the Loveless Dairy Farm who quickly became family to him and that he loved all very dearly.

After serving in WWII and later the Korean War, Davey moved to Northern Ontario where he occupied many jobs from a Telegraph Operator for CN Rail, bus driver, construction and mining exploration.  Eventually the love for the water brought him to Lake Nipigon as a commercial fisherman. After retiring from fishing he started Lake Nipigon Charters on the “Donna”.  Davey made many friends and memories on his numerous trips out on the lake.

Everyone that new Davey would agree that he was the most generous, sincere, caring person who always had one more story to tell.

All that knew him will sadly miss Davey from countless relatives in Southern Ontario, dear friends in Beardmore, Calgary, Golden and Thunder Bay, and the compassionate staff at Pioneer Ridge.  His best friend, Donna (nee Sutherland) along with her family Mark and Lucas Sandberg, will especially miss him.  He was a man that gave so much and asked nothing in return.

A Celebration of Life will be held as a drop-in between 2-4, Thursday October 1st in the Auditorium of Pioneer Ridge, 750 Tungsten St.

In lieu of flowers a donation to the Salvation Army or the charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.

There he lies where he longs to be,
Warrior home from the field,
Fisherman home from the sea

Harold “Davey” Davison will be remembered in the Blake Funeral Chapel Memorial Grove.  Annual dedication service Sunday, June 12, 2016.
