It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Anneli Mattila, age 87 years, a resident of Bethammi Nursing Home, on Monday, September 28, 2015.
Anneli is survived by her three daughters: Pirkko Coppock (John), Ruth Taipale (Seppo), Kathy Sym (David); grandchildren: John Jr. (Mandy), Patrick (Kelly), Mark (Farrah), Tammy (Jonah), Ryan (Courtney) and Chantal (Jason); great grandchildren: Madeline, Kirk, James, Crosby, Claire, Olivia, Lucas, Weston, Cora, Mika, Mikayla, Tyler, Bentley, Tehya, Avery and numerous relatives in Finland.
She was predeceased by her husband Onni in 2009.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 5, 2015 in Hilldale Lutheran Church, 321 Hilldale Road, presided by Rev. Jari Lahtinen. Interment in Riverside Cemetery will follow the reception. In lieu of flowers, donations in Anneli’s memory to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Foundation, designated to the Cancer Fund, or to the charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
