t is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Arthur Henry Wickstrom, 82, Sunday February 7, 2016.

He is survived by his wife Shirley of 61 years; his sister Violet; his children Lynn (Rheal) Goulet, Bruce (Cindy), Rob (Kate), Nancy (Ben)Johnston, Heidi (Wayne) Takalo; 7 Grandchildren Missi, David (Sabrina), Rheal Jr. (Megan), Chelsea (Ryan), Kaylene, Montana & Jaylene; and great grandchildren Tucker, Scarlett, Amelia, Abi, and Mason. Art was predeceased by his parents Father Gus and Mother Elma.

Art was born July 9, 1933 in Port Arthur. He worked many years in area bush operations as a mechanic and welder. After many years of hard work, Art retired from Buchanan Forest Products in 1998.

Art was a great problem solver and was able fix anything, as a master fabricator he seemed to make any tool to get the job done. He was always looking for new projects, "all works of Art".

Art was happiest surrounded by friends and family. He was a great story teller and jokester who always loved a good laugh.

Art could often be spotted on his lawnmower before the grass even had a chance to grow. He made sure all the chores were done early so he could get to Bingo.

A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday February 11, 2016 from 1-4 p.m. in the Pioneer Room at the North McIntyre Recreation Centre, 2051 Government Rd.

In Lieu of flowers you may make a donation to a charity of your choice.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Simpler Times Cremation Centre, 332 North May Street, Thunder Bay
