Mr. Fred Hawryluk, age 94 years, a resident of Pioneer Ridge and longtime resident of Dawson Court passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 10, 2016. 

Fred was born and raised on the family farm in Kaministiquia.  He worked for 43 years for CNR as a track maintainer.

As a private in the Canadian Military, Fred served in WWII in England, France, Holland and Belguim.  He enjoyed his Crystal Beer in the company of family and friends at the Sunshine Hotel.  We will miss his warm smile and his wonderful sense of humour.  Fred is lovingly remembered by his family and friends.

Fred was predeceased by his wife Signe, his parents Peter and Donia Hawryluk, his brothers Mike, Paul, John and George and his sisters Mary Chesnik and Ann Kivipelto, also by sisters in law Elizabeth Hawryluk and Emily Mucha, and niece Marilyn Chesnik, brothers In law Jarl Kivipelto and Phillip Chesnik.  Waiting to greet him at the gate will be his canine pal Bobo and feline friend Bubbles.

A funeral service for Mr. Hawryluk will be held in the Chapel of Harbourview Funeral Centre on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at 11:00 a.m., presided by Rev. Gordon Holroyd.  A reception in the Harbourview Reception Centre to follow.  Interment will take place at a later date.
