Mrs. Janet Marie Bil, age 61 years, passed away peacefully in Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre on Wednesday, May 4, 2016, with her family by her side.
Janet was born in Fort William on April 11, 1955 and dedicated her life to taking care of her family.
Janet is survived by her husband, Ed Dorota; daughter Michelle Laprade and granddaughter Casey Zywina; brother Frank Bil and sister Bev McCron as well as nephew Ken Proteau and numerous other relatives. She will also be dearly missed by her cherished pets, whom she loved to spoil.
She was predeceased by her parents, Olive and Frank Sr. And her half brother, Lawrence McCron.
As per Janet's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no service. A private family interment will be held in Mountainview Cemetery at a later date and a tree will be planted in her memory. Should friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, donations to the Northern Cancer Fund would be greatly appreciated.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Westfort Chapel, 420 West Gore Street at James.
