Mrs. Connie Zaporzan, age 74 years, a resident of Thunder Bay, passed away in St. Joseph's Hospice, on Saturday, June 18, 2016.

She passed away one day after her 55th wedding anniversary. Connie enjoyed her dogs Turner and Rose, trips to Beardmore in the motor home and fishing on the Connie ZZZ.

She was a member of the Ukrainian Catholic Church of the Holy Cross, and a volunteer for the Ladies Auxiliary of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #5 and the DaVinci Centre Principe di Piemonte.

She is survived by her husband Ralph, son Mark (Barb), grandchildren Adam and Stephanie, siblings Primo (Jerry) Scalzo, Judy Hill and Karen Baker. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. She was predeceased by her parents Rose and Fiorigi Scalzo and in-laws Olga and John Zaporzan.

Funeral services for Connie will be held on, Thursday June 23 2016 when family and friends will gather for Liturgy in Church of the Holy Cross, 415 Victoria Avenue East at 11:00am celebrated by Rev. Stepan Didar. Panachyda will be offered on Wednesday evening, at 7:00pm in Church of the Holy Cross.  If friends desire, memorials to the Northern Dog Rescue or a charity of your choice, would be appreciated.

Connie Zaporzan will be remembered in the Blake Funeral Chapel Memorial Grove.  Annual dedication service Sunday, June 11, 2017.
