It is with deep sorrow, the family announces the passing of Marcella Gigliotti on August 17, 2016.

She was born in Minnedosa, Manitoba on August 8, 1924 and moved to Fort William in 1941.  She worked at Canada Car during the war and later at Sears where she retired after 23 years.

Marcella married Angelo Gigliotti and had 5 children.  She is survived by her sister Molly Whyte, children Michael, Timothy (Karen), Mary Ann (Garry Agostino) and Mark (Heather), grandchildren Ryan (Lisa), Christopher, Cole, Luke, Ben, Quinn, Noah, great-grandchildren, Isabel, Jackson and many nieces and nephews.  Pre-deceased by her husband Angelo, son Christopher, parents John and Daisy Whyte, sisters Emerald (Lawrence Woodcock), Patricia (Jim Wark), brothers Stafford, John (Roberta), Connor (Winnifred).

She had a great love of family and maintained a close connection to her home town of Minnedosa.  We have many fond memories of family gatherings and summers at Shebandowan.

We would like to thank the nurses and doctors on the Stroke Ward of the Regional Health Science Centre for their support and compassion.

We would also like to that the Staff at Glacier Ridge where Marcella lived for the last 6 years. As per Mom's wishes, a private ceremony has been held at St. Andrew's Cemetery and a celebration of life will follow at a future date. Donations to Heart and Stroke or to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.

Marcella Gigliotti will be remembered in the Blake Funeral Chapel Memorial Grove.  Annual dedication service Sunday, June 11, 2017.
