MARGARET ELIZABETH MORO
June 8, 1927 - August 22, 2016

It is with deepest regret and sadness the Moro family announces the passing of Margaret Moro aged 89, on Monday, August 22, 2016 at Pinewood Court with family by her side.

Born in Midland Ontario on June 8, 1927, Marge was an exceptional human being whose compassion for others was evident throughout her lifetime. A well -known resident of Westfort, she was best known for her work at Novaks Tavern, running Marge’s Confectionary on Edward Street and later Moros General Store on Arthur Street.

There was never a day that went by when she was not cooking and feeding her extended family which featured her famous perogies, apple squares and butter tarts. A solid girl guide leader, she also insisted on the kids following through with their commitments whether it be Fay Gleeson dancing, football practices or piano lessons.

One of her greatest joys was spending time with family at the Dog Lake camp.

Marge was predeceased by her husband of 29 years Gildo, brothers John, Joe, Vic, and Bernie Powers, and sister Pauline Andrusyk.   Survived by sister Susan White ( Mike)  Oakville, Mona Porter (Thunder Bay), sons Jack Moro (Barb), Gordon Moro (Erin), John Moro (Lisa), daughters Maryann Bilenki (Brian), Rose Johnston (Lorne), Donna Pupeza (Marvin), Natalie Dowswell (Don ), Beverley Johnston (Bob) and numerous nieces and nephews.

Marge was blessed with 21 grandchildren, and 18 great grandchildren and enjoyed every minute she was able to spend time with them.  A service to celebrate the life of Margaret Moro will be held on Monday, August 29, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at St Agnes Church, Brown Street, In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.

Margaret Moro will be remembered in the Blake Funeral Chapel Memorial Grove.  Annual dedication service Sunday, June 11, 2017.
