Mr. James "Jim" Bruni age 81 years a resident of Thunder Bay passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Sunday, February 14, 2010 at the T.B.R.H.S.C. Born in Port Arthur, Jim was a lifelong resident of the city. He attended St. Joseph's Elementary School, Port Arthur Technical Institute and Business College. He worked for 41 years at Kam Motors, retiring as General Manager in 1993. Jim was past member of the Board of Directors of St. Joseph's Hospital, a Trustee with Thunder Bay District Catholic School Board, the Holy Name Society of St. Anthony's R.C. Church, and a Life Member of the Italian Society of Port Arthur. He enjoyed many sports especially golfing, curling and bowling. Some of his fondest memories were made traveling with his family and spending time with his grandchildren.
Jim will be lovingly remembered by his son Jim (Luisa), grandchildren Kyla and Riley, daughter Joanne (Jim) Graham, sisters: Teresa Bruni, Mary Sisco, Anne Ward, Julia (Eugene) Milani, Emma (Allan) Toivonen, brothers: Frank (Dolores), William (Flurette), and Peter (Maureen) and dear friend Anne. Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.
He was predeceased by his wife Lucille, parents Pasquale and Rosina Bruni, in-laws Henry and Asta Durand, granddaughter Makayla, sister Assunta Sarlo, brothers-in-law Joseph, Michael, Clayton and George.

Cremation has taken place and funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 18, 2010 when family and friends will gather for Funeral Mass at 10:00 am in St. Anthony's R.C. Church, celebrated by Rev. Maurizio Maifredi c.s. A private interment will be held in Mountainview Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be held Wednesday evening from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the chapel of the Sargent & Son Funeral Home, 21 N. Court Street with a Vigil Service at 7:00 pm.
