It is with great sorrow that the family of Kathie Chezick announces her tragic passing on March 1st 2010. A lifetime resident of Thunder Bay, she was passionate about her family, running, swimming, biking, and helping others through regularly donating plasma and volunteering. She achieved many things in her life, her most recent and proud accomplishment being qualifying for the Ford Ironman World Championshipin Kona, Hawaii. She is survived by her loving husband Barry, their two daughters Erin and Erica, her father James Donohue, her brothers Jim and Jack, and her dogs, Murphy and Chase, who she considered part of her family. She is also survived by step-daughters Christine Taylor (Carl and Lily), Sarah Facca (Mark), as well as many loving family members and friends. She was predeceased by her beloved mother, Beverly Donohue (Britten). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 6th at 11:00 a.m. at HilldaleLutheranChurch and will be officiated by Pastor Matthew Diegel. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre, Paediatrics Ward, the Canadian Cancer Society, or a charity of your choice. Her family also encourages others to follow her example by donating plasma.
