It is with deep sorrow that we announce the quiet passing of Andrew Benjamin Bushby, age 83, on March 27, 2010 after a lengthy illness. Andrew was born in Whitemouth, Manitoba on April 25, 1926 and as a young man chose to serve his country by joining the Royal Canadian Navy. After the war, he moved to Fort William and met the love of his life whom he married on August 19, 1950. Providing for his wife and three sons was the focus and joy of his life. He followed his brothers into the Ironworkers trade and took great pride in being a respected member of Local 759 until his retirement. Andrew Bushby is predeceased by his wife (Bernice), son (James), father (George), mother (Jessie), sisters (Annie, Isabel, Sarah and Jessie) and brothers (Tom, Jim, Bob, Murray, Walter and George). Andrew is survived by sister (Edith Blair), his sons Rod (Cheryl) and Tom (Susan), grandchildren Andrew and Cydney, and many nieces, nephews and family. Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at Blake Funeral Chapel with the services on Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at 11:00 am with Rev. Msgr. P.M. Stilla V.G.officiating. In lieu of flowers, please donate to a charity of your choice.

A tree will be planted in memory of Andrew Bushby in the Blake Funeral Chapel Memorial Grove. Annual dedication service Sunday, June 12, 2011.
